Bruno Latour says this great thing
the 'copy' belongs to the modern
and 'we have never been modern'
the copy is really a translation or mediation that makes the object what it is
and every translation, mediation, is in part a betrayal
given that participants have been so resistant to the archive, especially in any official form,
it would be interesting to think of some further ways to represent how these betrayals are enacted?
does saving something always betray the event? are we looking for a Year Zero where nothing is saved ? (individually or collectively)
it would be interesting to hear how people feel or think you (or important informations) were robbed, aggrieved, left out or ignored
some case studies?
